Dear participants in the national “Jot-A Postcard” writing campaign,

The national “Jot-A Postcard” writing campaignOn behalf of the national “Jot-A-Postcard” writing project, sponsored by Journal Jots® Publishing Company, we would like to thank you for participating in this worthy endeavor of sharing encouraging messages with our Service men and women deployed overseas. Within a two-month period, over 12,000 cards were mailed to hospitals and military bases for distribution. Five thousand postcards were collected from the students and teachers from the Fort Mill, South Carolina school district and another 7,000 cards were written by schools, organizations and individuals from various locations across the USA. These messages came from the children’s hearts… some children wrote prayers, others shared what they were learning in school, some children asked questions, others colored a picture and one little boy named “Bobby” even invited a soldier to attend his next baseball game!

We also want to thank Mike Gallagher, a syndicated, national radio talk show host who helped us share our postcard writing project with his listeners. This interview took place during a live radio broadcast from the “Support Our Troops” rally he organized in Spartenburg, S.C.

Reading postcards written during the national “Jot-A Postcard” writing campaign

During this incredible event, we had the wonderful opportunity to meet Mr. Larry Jones, president and founder of the national Feed The Children organization. We were interviewed for a military special that he will air on his show in the upcoming months.

We would also like to thank the many radio, television and newspapers local, state and national who helped share our message to children nation wide.

It’s people like these as well as those who support our brave men and women that make this world a better place.

We encourage postcard writing efforts to continue to support Service men and women who are still fighting for our freedom. Let’s keep writing until all military personnel are safely back.

I am certain your efforts will be rewarded when the service men and women receive the cards and their days are made brighter. We have already received many complimentary comments from local military personnel as well as from family members of those deployed about this project. Thank you again for participating in this campaign and for sharing your kind words with our military personnel.
